What a delightfully, cute and inspirational children’s book to have read. This beautifully illustrated book will hold the attention of all ages of children (and it did me too) I just love to read the whimsical books of past and present years to my grandkids, with there simple yet meaningful stories. They unfold so easily, yet the full meaning of children’s book have the same impact on our kids as a full adult book would have on us.
Thank you Stephen Taylor for the opportunity to read and review your wonderful children’s book, as I sat here at my computer I had my young grandson Phoenix on my lap, as I read the pages one after the other not a word came out of his mouth (which is unusual for him he normally yaks all the way through the books as they are being read) and it wasn’t until I got to the next adorable picture that I could almost feel his cornflower blue eyes light up with excitement… then the laughter of delight at the picture rang through my ears.
Blognogpotin is a story of a young girl named Helen and her to amazing cats, who had lost her mother. Her father knew she was lonely and sad a lot, so as a way to bring happiness and make her feel special (and she was) he called her Princess. Princess Helen to you and me of course.
He would tell her stories at bedtime, and tell her how very much he loved her. Helen loved her father very much too!! After they went through there normal games of “I love you this much” as we all did as kids, and we do with our kids then in turn our grandkids, he would close her bedroom door over but not completely, slightly ajar so Helen wouldn’t feel scared.
Each night after her father would leave, Helen’s two cats named Magical Joe Cat and Mystical M’lady (their names alone had me) nice…. Magical and Mystical, two of my favorite words. Yes!!! Oops sorry got side tracked just like a kid. Helen’s cats were no ordinary cats Mystical M’lady would calm Helen when she felt scared or lonely, and boy wait till you hear this.. Magical Joe Cat could grow as big as a house, and even fly!!! (so cool)
They would go out on adventures each night, and fly off to far off and away lands. Returning after each new adventure, Helen sleeping peacefully in her bed.
Blognogpotin, is not only a children’s story, but also a lesson in life, how to treat people right, Not by the way they look or what they are called.. Meaning the names we each go by.
Lessons as adult we could relearn ourselves, we have forgotten so much in today’s society and way of life that we all try to fit into. Simple loving lives that we grew up on and in as kids no longer seem to exist anymore. *shakes head in dismay*
Look through the eyes of a child, see what they see as they learn and explore the world in front of them.. Let it be a world of simple loving, with the guiding hand from us.
A MUST READ!!!
