LifeBlood by HK Savage

Set in the modern day you meet Ava, fresh out of College and wondering what to do next with her Business degree. Working with antiques isn't what she wants to do forever but feels indebted to her mother’s friend Elle for giving her the position when she moved to the city.
Life is moving at the same pace it always has until a tall Brunette walks in turning her world upside down. With dreams too real to be just that coming back to her she keeps seeing the mysterious man as more than her dream hero.
Ben always tried to stay away and shield Ava from the evil she had become embroiled in but fate saw to it that their paths would cross again. With forces too great for just the one to handle they travel and become the other half they were always looking for.
Gripping suspense from this action packed novel with drama and mystery throughout. It peaks at various points with their never being a flat moment.
The characters are well developed and the dialogue is fresh between them.
Fingers crossed there’s a sequel

The Path (Series title TBD) by HK Savage

Review by Natalie
Cassie like most American's has mixed parentage which on its own isn't a problem but it is when both of her witch parents have different magical abilities. Cassie has struggled to find herself as a witch with the different powers at odds with each other. Her parents Julia and Quan have been very patient and supportive but her training can't last forever so it's now or never!
A series of deaths leads the trio of Verita's investigators to Flordia where their investigation is centred around the Carter brothers and their shady business partner. Drew, the youngest of the Carters has a pull like no other which immediately raises Cassie's hackles.
With the investigation speeding up and danger coming from every corner Cassie is on her own with her charge Drew and a whole host of complications.
Great new series from HK Savage. Characters are all well written and likeable with depth to them. You can't help but find something in common with Cassie through your empathy with her personal short comings or her endearing personality.
Drew to me seems the ideal man. On the surface he's tough and sure but underneath has the vulnerabilities of everyone else.
A lot of action and mystery which peaks continuously throughout keeping the storyline fresh and intriguing.
Can't wait to read the next!
