Being a freebie from our lovely Michelle Gent, I decided to give this one a go. The cover looked fun and sexy and it seemed like light reading and nothing too heavy.
The story caught my attention instantly, modern day, 2 girlfriends go on a trip to get laid, one girl a bit promiscuous, the other shy and retiring and a bit of a prude to be honest! What I loved was that it was set in a time when supernaturals (not just vamps but weres, demons, ghouls, trolls etc) were socially acceptable and they were trying to find a mate who they could be matched to. From the first chapter the story didn’t waste any time getting steamy with extremely graphic detail on the sex scenes. It’s pure porn in a book! Bit cheesy like your average porn movie too, but it made me laugh at the term of phrases used! The male characters were completely “Mills and Boon” but overlooking the steamy side to this story, the heart is in the right place and there is intrigue with what the ship they’re on can do as it claims to be mystical! Plus it was humorous too, so it didn’t take itself too seriously. There are 3 books in this series as far as I know and I get the impression they are all much of a muchness in terms of storyline, I will read them though because overall, they are a good lighthearted read and very steamy if you like that sort of thing! Made ME blush!
