Seaweed by Elle Strauss

Review by Daisy
This is a new book by an author that I had not read before. It is a teen angst, love story which has a good female protagonist who does not just sit around and wait for bad things to happen to her... Rather she stumbles across them because she is basically a self-absorbed teenage girl with no patience!
The main character is Dori from the small town of Eastcove who is a star of the swimming team and general nice girl. Tor, the new boy on the scene, is different and it soon becomes apparent why - he is a merman.
The plot follows a slightly twisty path, with the past playing an important role and comes to an unexpected conclusion. The story is well-written and imaginative with a flair for building characters and locations.
I read this in an evening and enjoyed it - it was a page-turner, even on Kindle!
A great story for young teens to enjoy, well done, Elle!
