Missing in Shanghai by Jean Harrod

Review by Trev
This is the second of Jane Harrod’s diplomatic crime series novels that I have read, but the third in the series.
Once I had started reading, it was difficult to put down and the story flowed very well. The end of each chapter was a real cliff-hanger and therefore, page-turner.
I soon had my own ideas of where and how the story would go and therefore needed to complete the book to find out if I was correct. This is a great way to keep the reader involved and wanting to keep reading.
I quickly had the characters pictured and their images stayed with me throughout the book.
I particularly liked the descriptions of China in the 1980s and the inside of the government buildings.
A great read on its own or as the third book in the series.
