Dangerous (Element Preservers) by Alycia Linwood

I loved this book!
Such a refreshing concept for a paranormal series to deal with elements. Took me a couple of chapters to get that possessing an elemental power wasn't a secretive thing like in most books but that the entire population knew about people wielding elements.
The characters are well written and have depth and mystery to them. The developing relationships that the main character Ria has are gripping and seem real. She is torn between the gentle and sweet Michael and the infamous Adrian, carrier of the Magic Disease. But who does Ria have more in common with?
Set in an American College it has an adult edge to it but isn't graphic.
I've read alot of paranormal fiction of all different types and this was the perfect blend for me. Action, romance and magic.
I was disappointed it ended
