This is a great read! It follows the journey- literal and emotional- of a young girl, Julia, who has lost her parents and is thrown into a world of demons and 'stained' alike. It follows her travels with a Nephilim called Cayne, who is assigned to take care and protect her from evil forces. They travel across America and have some hair-raising adventures trying to avoid being killed by an evil demon. They meet some wonderful characters along the way and ultimately reach their destination having grown as themselves personally and spiritually. The ending was a bit of a letdown- being a quick end to what was a long journey, but it leaves it open for the next book, which is also out now... overall a brilliant and gripping storyline that adults and teens will both enjoy.
